This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

On Sunday (April 1), we boarded our charter plane at the St. Petersburg airport heading for New York. I was very excited to be playing my first Major League game at Yankee Stadium. It was also my first trip to New York City. My father flew in from Japan and arrived Monday morning just before the game that afternoon. The Yankee Stadium crowd was crazy, but it made for a very exciting atmosphere. We played well and had a lead, but the Yankees came back and won it. I singled to left field in the sixth inning for my first hit and the ball was retrieved for me, but it was not as happy a day as I would have liked it to be, because we lost.
