Strange trend with Japanese players not reaching deals in MLB. Last year Iwakuma, now maybe Nakajima. If his dream is really to play in MLB, I think he should just take what he can get for a 1-year deal and try to prove himself. With the Yankees' aged infield, there's always a chance for playing time, so just go for it instead of trying to cash in on a MLB deal. With the recent performance of Japanese hitters in MLB, players have to understand that the fat contracts for unproven Japanese talent (Darvish being an exception) are a thing of the past.
