オリックス北川博敏選手会長（３４）が２４日の開幕ソフトバンク戦（福岡ヤフードーム）で、先制、同点、勝ち越しの大暴れを見せた。初回２死一、二塁での先制に始まり、７回１死一、三塁では左腕三瀬から同点打。９回無死満塁ではしぶとく二塁内野安打を放ち、４点奪取への流れを作った。「本当にいい勝ち方で、この１勝を忘れずに戦って行きたい」。戦前の劣勢予想をはね返し、声を弾ませた。
