ダン・セラフィニ投手（３３）が力投した。先発で７回を投げ４安打１失点。０－０の６回、飯山の右前ポテン二塁打に続き、森本に浴びた一塁線をギリギリで破る連続の二塁打による唯一の失点で黒星がついた。「調子も良かったし、全体的にいい投球ができたと思う。でも６回に打ち取った当たりがヒットになって、そこから失った１点が悔しい」。打線の援護なく４敗目を喫した左腕は肩を落としていた。
