マー君は何かを持っている。楽天ルーキー田中が勝利に貢献した。２回、３連打などで２点を先制されたが、追加点を許さず７回途中２失点で先発の責任を果たした。野村監督が「今日のマー君はついてない。点を取るにはマー君を降ろした方がいい」と援護なく３敗目の展開だったが、最後の最後に逆転。これで田中の黒星が消えたのは４度目で、「それにしてもマー君は黒星つかないね。何かある」とノムさんも不思議な力を感じていた。
