猛虎の連勝が１０で止まった。広島に０－９の大敗だが、藤川、久保田らを休ませることはできた。切り替えられる１敗だが、岡田監督は怒った。「ひどいな。５回先頭（鞘師の四球）はど真ん中やで。初回（栗原）の３ランの前の球も、一番ええ球をな。能見の調子は全然悪なかったけどそら、がっくりくるやろ。ほんまもう、ひど過ぎるわ！」。怒りの矛先は西本球審のジャッジに向けられた。
