初回２死一、二塁、山本昌が畠山、宮本に連続適時打を浴びて先制された。いずれも決め球スクリューがやや真ん中に入ったところを痛打された。２回も２死三塁で甘く入ったカーブを田中浩に左前へ運ばれた。「低めに投げようと意識していたが、ちょっとコースが甘かった。タイミングをつかめないうちにやられてしまった。痛いね」。５月１３日巨人戦以来の通算１９４勝目を目指したが、２回までに失った３点にあと１点届かず９敗目を喫した。
