わずか２安打…。１球に泣いた。中日のエース川上憲伸投手（３２）が日本ハムとの日本シリーズ第１戦に先発したが、初回、制球が乱れたところで日本ハム・セギノールに痛恨の３ランを浴びた。昨年の同シリーズ第５戦で２ランを浴びており、シリーズ２試合連続被弾。その後は立ち直り、１安打を許しただけの気迫の投球をみせたが反撃は１点のみ。完投した投手ではシリーズ最少となる２安打で負けた。
