日本ハム高校生ドラフト１巡目の中田翔内野手（１８）が１６日、阪神との練習試合で２安打を放った。「３番一塁」で出場。１０日の試合で場外本塁打を浴びせた阪神の左腕筒井から、この日は７回に２点適時三塁打の返り討ちだ。１４日の紅白戦に続き２戦連続マルチ安打。ここまで５試合で本塁打１本、三塁打２本と、長打率は驚異の７割６厘。左投手相手に８打数４安打と、キラーぶりを発揮している。
