This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Choi is only the third player from the Korea Baseball Organization to sign in the Major Leagues following Lee Sang-hoon, who moved from the LG Twins to the Boston Red Sox in 2000, and Koo Dae-sung, who moved from the Hanwha Eagles to the New York Mets this season.
In 2005, Choi posted a 2-5 mark with one save in 12 GP (41.2 IP). He had a 4.10 ERA. Injury problems have derailed most of his career but, in 11 seasons, Choi is 44-49 with 6 saves and a 3.91 ERA in 182 GP.
