Thank you for cleaning up the spam attacks in "Open Talk". Does anyone know how it happened?

How did it happened? Open Talk is non-moderated, it just requires one to sign in. Some spammers are daring enough to do so if they think they can get their message out that way. But that little bump (signing in) does seem to keep them out for the most part.

It is regrettable, however, that since going to being non-moderated in a number of the forums that the forums appear to have died out. I guess the site has just turned into an RSS feed. (I fear that my own lack of participation may also be a reason.) I'm just glad that there are now so many other blogs up and running, talking about Japanese baseball, that my withdrawal doesn't hurt the community of NPB fans out there.

Nonetheless, it is fortunate that another reader quickly alerted me to the posts and I removed them.

Yes, it is great that there are so many sources for info on Japanese baseball. Thank you for still being the place where things still can be pooled together.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
