A note to the above statement, this was Nomo 200th win combined between his NPB and MLB career. With this win Nomo is a member of the "Meikyukai" Club. Nomo has had 122 wins in the majors and 78 wins in the NPB.

Also, between both leagues, Nomo has 3,100 strikeouts. Nomo's career has truly been a great one truly worthy of enshrinement. [MLB Stats] [NPB Stats - Japan Baseball Daily]

Nomo said that he isn't sure about whether he wants his name to be included on the "Meikyukai" Club ir not. He hasn't elaborated on his decision not to acknowledge his spot on the "Meikyukai" Club, though the article speculates that this stems from criticism that happened when he departed from Kintestu to the majors. Nomo retired from Japanese baseball after a fallout with then Kintestu manager Keishi Suzuki, and then signed with the Dodgers in 1995. [News - MLB.com]
