Dice-K vs. K. Saitoh

Discussion in the Nichi-Bei forum
Dice-K vs. K. Saitoh
I am a fairly recent NBP fan.

Who do you think is a better pitcher, "Dice-K" or K. Saitoh (2-time Sawamura winner)?

Matsuzaka has been more consistent over the years (with a few injuries every now and then), while Saitoh has had a few absolutely phenomenal years and a few pretty bad ones. This is probably why Matsuzaka is more sought after, because after 8 years and many 130+ pitch outings, his arm hasn't fallen off and is still putting up good numbers. Saitoh seems to be a Jekyll and Hyde depending what year it is.

So, that didn't really answer that question. This year - Saitoh. Overall (career) - Matsuzaka.
