There's a story in one of the New York papers that Bobby V. may consult for the Mets. There may also be further cooperative relations between the Mets and the Marines.

I'm not sure what all that means, but maybe you'll see the Mets again in the future. It would be interesting if the Marines went down to Florida to play some exhibition games and train with the Mets, then maybe play a couple of games at Shea right before the season opens.

Here's a good one: On the New York Mets Fan Forum, some guy started a thread on the worst Met players since 1975. On his list was Roberto Petagaine. Go figure.
