CPBL Players Switch Teams
Everybody is waiting for the baseball season to start and here are some more tidbits:

In the Chinese Professional Baseball League, former President Lions shortstop Hsu Sheng-jeh has switched over to the Gida Cobras this year. He batted .252 with 5 home runs and 19 RBIs in 45 games last year. The 30 year-old's best season was when he hit .279 with 8 HRs and 44 RBIs in 81 games.

Former La New Bears (formerly known as the First Securities Agan) pitcher Meng Shian-cheng signed with the China Trust Whales for the 2004 season. This will be the 28 year old's second season in the CPBL. Last year he had a 6.75 ERA in just four games (four innings pitched).
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
