New Players: David Manning and Andrew Lorraine
The Brother Elephants have signed 35 year old right handed pitcher David Manning who had a brief stint with the La New Bears in 2004. Antonio Alvarez (.339, 8 HRs, 25 RBIs) asked for his release so he could return to Venezuela to be with his father who was hurt during the political demonstrations.

Speaking of the Bears, they inked 35 year old righty Andrew Lorraine. Luis Martinez (0-2, 7.04 ERA in 4 games) was released.

Both Manning and Lorraine spent last season in the independent leagues.
