Righty: Yang Chang Fu. He throws in 90-92 range usually, but he can dial it up to 95 when he has a good day.

Lefty: Huang Chin Chih. He throws in low 90's, too, and he can be up to the 93-94 range when used as reliever.

Mmmmm. They toss pretty slow compared to the players in Japan.

Yeah, but it's not all about power. It's more about movement. Billy Koch can hit 100 mph consistenly, but his fastball is straight and that's why he gets hit. A 90 mph fastball with lots of movement is better.

Fu's fastball has a lot of tailing movement, and I personally think it's a major league level pitch.

CPBL does not have farm system, that's why most CPBL pitchers can't even throw a 140 km/h (about 87~88 mph) fastball.

Sigh...

Why? Does a farm system increase a pitcher's throwing speed? I think they're moving toward having a farm system sometime next year.

How often has Yang hit 150 km/h this year? Last year the hardest thrower was Tsu of the First Bank Agan, but he can only hit 147 km/h (but consistently).
