Foreign Players Don't Last Too Long

Foreign Players Don't Last Too Long
CPBL teams are so picky about their foreign players and never seem to give them much of an opportunity. Starters usually get three starts to prove themselves, relievers five games, etc. The following is a list of players that have been signed and released this season:

Sinon Bulls
P Timothy Young 3.07 ERA in 8 GP (14.2 IP)
P Gustavo Lopez 10.13 ERA in 3 GP (2.2 IP)
P Maximo Repolado 0.00 ERA in 3 GP (1.2 IP)

Makoto Cobras
P Giancarlo Alcarado 4.15 ERA in 1 GP (4.1 IP)
P Martin Janzen 18.00 ERA in 1 GP (2.0 IP)
P Felipe Lira 5.40 ERA in 4 GP (11.2 IP)
P Delvis Pachedo 7.04 ERA in 2 GP (7.2 IP)
P Takahito Nomura 4.50 ERA in 1 GP (4.0 IP)
P Carlos Montane 3.09 ERA in 6 GP (11.2 IP)
3B Lipso Nava .167, 0 HRs, 0 RBIs in 2 GP
2B Robert Mejia .286, 0 HRs, 5 RBIs in 13 GP
SS Willis Otanez .298, 7 HRs, 25 RBIs in 32 GP

President Lions
P Benjamin Sampson 1.29 ERA in 4 GP (21.0 IP)
P Manny Aybar 2.03 ERA in 2 GP (13.1 IP)
P Masami Ishikawa 7.86 ERA in 3 GP (8.0 IP)
P Todd Rizzo 7.15 ERA in 4 GP (11.1 IP)
P Joe Davenport 2.83 ERA in 14 GP (70.0 IP) / 2.80 ERA in 45 GP (267.0 IP) over three seasons

Brother Elephants
P Gomez Martinez 4.68 ERA in 9 GP (50.0 IP) / 3.06 ERA in 18 GP (108.2 IP) over two seasons

China Trust Whales
P Rusty Meacham 2.34 ERA in 6 GP (34.2 IP)
P James Arnold 5.40 ERA in 2 GP (3.1 IP)
P Juan Figueroa 4.26 ERA in 3 GP (19.0 IP)
P Geraldo Guzman 3.98 ERA in 10 GP (54.1 IP) / 3.56 ERA in 23 GP (91.0 IP) over three seasons
3B Juan Sosa .215, 0 HRs, 6 RBIs in 19 GP

La New Bears
P Satoshi Iriki 3.39 ERA in 11 GP (77.0 IP)
P Robert Marquez 2.87 ERA in 12 GP (37.2 IP)
RF Rafael Alvarez .176, 1 HR, 1 RBI in 5 GP

Of course, these players could be one of the 13 allowed on the practice roster, but chances are they were released outright. Many haven't come back since the season started.

Tim Young, Rusty Meacham, and Manny Aybar didn't pitched that bad at all.
