Angel Tovar in CPBL
A former right handed pitcher with the Saskatoon Legends of the now-defunct Canadian Baseball League has signed with the Makoto Cobras of the Chinese Professional Baseball League.

27 year old Angel Tovar was 3-1 with six saves in 17 games with the Legends in 2003. He posted a 4.03 ERA in 22.1 innings. Tovar walked seven and struck out 17 batters.

In 2004, Tovar has played with the Cancun Langosteros of the Mexican League. He was 2-3 with 19 saves in 36 games (38.1 IP). Tovar had a 1.88 ERA.

The Cobras have also reactivated Giancarlo Alcarado. The right hander is 0-1-0 with a 4.35 ERA in 2 GP (2 GS, 10.1 IP).
