Eduardo Rios In CPBL
The La New Bears have added a big time hitter in third baseman Eduardo Rios to their 25-man roster. The 33 year old hit .285 with 18 HRs and 88 RBIs in 100 GP with the Aguascalientes Rieleros of the Mexican League before signing with the Bears. However, this is not Rios' first appearance in the Chinese Professional Baseball League. He hit .267 with the President Lions in 17 games in 1998.

Pitcher David Manning (5.40 ERA in 3 GP) was moved to the practice roster.
