Lions Sign P Greg Wiltshire
The President Lions have signed 28 year old right handed pitcher Greg Wiltshire. In 2007 the Melbourne, Australia, native went 11-7 with a 3.35 ERA in 22 games for the El Paso Diablos of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball.

Wiltshire will replace the outgoing Nelson Figueroa (4-0, 3.00 ERA) who has signed a contract with the New York Mets. Figueroa also went 3-0 with a 1.57 ERA in the Lions' Taiwan Series victory over the La New Bears.

About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
