Lions Sign Two Coaches

Discussion in the CPBL News forum
Lions Sign Two Coaches
The President Lions have signed former Edmonton Cracker-Cats (independent league team now affiliated with the Golden Baseball League) field manager Frank Reberger to be their pitching coach for 2008. Reberger has had major league experience with the Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants.

The Leos also signed Anthony Torchia to be their hitting coach. He most recently managed the Mid-Missouri Mavericks in the independent Frontier League. Torchia's only brush with the Major Leagues came in 1985 when he was the Boston Red Sox's hitting coach.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
