Mike Johnson Back In Taiwan
The La New Bears have brought back right handed pitcher Mike Johnson. The 34 year old was released by the SK Wyverns earlier this season. In 2008 Johnson went 20-2 with a 2.51 ERA in 26 games with the Bears. He won a Best Ten award and an MVP award.

Johnson, a native of Edmonton, pitched for Canada at the 2009 World Baseball Classic. After Tommy John surgery in 2005 he played in the independent leagues with the Edmonton Cracker-Cats before the Bears came calling.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
