Bears release two foreign pitchers
The La New Bears have released two foreign pitchers - Luis Villarreal and Chris Mason. Villarreal was 6-8 with 2 saves and a 2.89 ERA in 35 games. Mason went 10-7 with a 2.63 ERA in 24 games. This season he set a CPBL record by not allowing a home run in 154 consecutive innings.
