This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

The Bulls released Ps Shingo Takatsu (1-2 with 26 saves and a 1.88 ERA in 40 games), Itsuki Shoda (32 G, 11-5, 2.81), Juan Pena (6 G, 1-3, 3.90) and Javier Martinez (5 G, 1-1, 3.79).
Shoda has stated that he wants to continue playing in Taiwan but the rule forbid him to. Teams want the league to change the rule because the Japanese and Korean leagues are able to offer higher salaries for quality foreign players.
The Lions released Ps Willie Collazo (10 G, 2-6, 3.01), Luther Hackman (18, 6-9, 2.91), Jerome Williams (48, 7-9, 13 SVs, 3.11) and Jesus Sanchez (7, 3-3, 2.82). The Leos should also be prepared to lose their ace Pan Wei-luen to international free agency. The SK Wyverns in are rumoured to be interested.
