Lions Re-sign Rayborn, Release Halama
The President 7-Eleven Lions have re-signed right handed pitcher Kenny Rayborn. The 36 year old was 9-6 with a 4.58 ERA in 20 games last season with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (independent Atlantic League). This is his third stint in the CPBL. He also spent time in Japan and Korea.

The Leos released John Halama (3-1, 2.24 ERA in 8 games) because manager Lu Wen-Sheng said that the lefty didn't match up well against the Lamigo Monkeys' top hitters, who are all right-handed. Right-handed hitters were batting .303 against Halama.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
