Interleague Games With Taiwan and Korea?
According to Hochi Sports, the owner of the Chiba Lotte Marines made a statement that if the inter-league games with the Central League are popular, then the Pacific League is considering setting up regular season games between the Korean and Taiwan professional teams two or three years later, possibly as early as 2006.

According to the article, when the announcement of the Orix-Kintetsu merger was made in June, some teams from Korea and Taiwan wanted to join with the Pacific League to form an "Asia League." The PL is taking the first steps to promote Japanese baseball around Asia, when the Chiba Lotte Marines play the Softbank Hawks for two regular season games, on June 28 and 29 of the 2005 season, in Korea.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
