The Korean Baseball Organization probably has a higher caliber of baseball than the Chinese Professional Baseball League because:
  1. The KBO has a longer history founded in 1982 while the CPBL started in 1990.

  2. The KBO plays more games per year, 126 per team, while the CPBL plays 100 games per team.

  3. KBO salaries are at least 5 times more than the CPBL.

  4. In the 2005 Konami Cup Asia Series: the KBO's Samsung Lions beat the CPBL's Sinon Bulls 4-3; the Chiba Lotte Marines beat Samsung 6-2 and 5-3; and the Marines trounced Sinon 12-1.

Well, I don't know. Did you actually see the Bulls vs. Samsung game?

The Korean team couldn't get a hit for the final 7 innings off of the reliever. And that guy regularly gets overwhelmed by the the other CPBL teams.

Not only that, but the three runs Samsun scored in the first were with no hits - it was poor fielding by the Bulls that did starter Martinez in. The Lions' fourth run of the game, in the second inning, came on one hit. Coretes, who came in in the third inning, allowed just two hits in 6 innings, striking out four and walking one for Sinon.

Samsun was unable to take advantage of the few chances they had and sqeaked by that game winning 4-3.

Fielding is part of the game though.

Anyways, the sample size is just way too small yet for an accurate comparison. But with higher salaries, comes higher calibre imports, which affects the level of play in the league as well.

Anyway, I think in Asia standard is:

NPB (AAA)
KBO (AA and 1/2A)
CPBL(AA)
