Information on baseball for the Chinese mainland is usually hard to come by.
Though there are 6 teams in the China Baseball League, the league has been around since 2002. Salary is very low on the mainland, around $600-1,000 per month, and foreign players are allowed (2 per team). For more information on baseball in Mainland China, read this thread.
One thing to remember, baseball is just in its infancy in China, after years of being banned following the beginning of Communist Rule in China, which would be 1949. Also, basketball and soccer still rule in Mainland China.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world.
