BEIJING--Japan's baseball team got back on track Monday, beating Canada in a 1-0 nail-biter.

Facing a Canadian lineup with only Chris Robinson batting right-handed, manager Senichi Hoshino turned to southpaw Yoshihisa Naruse as his starter.
