Darryl Brinkley in CPBL
Outfielder Darryl Brinkley has made his way to Taiwan. The right handed hitter has signed with the President Lions, who are looking to fill the power gap voided by the departure of Israel Alcantara. This season Brinkley batted .376 with 13 home runs and 79 RBIs with the San Luis Potosi Cactus Pear Growers of the Mexican League. The 37 year old's looking for one final big payday.

I'm getting conflicting reports everywhere. The CPBL lists Brinkley's birthdate as December 23, 1964. Meanwhile The Baseball Cube lists his birthdate as December 23, 1968.

I played ball with Darryl in Stamfort, CT. He is 39 years old.

He's doing well here. Brinkley has hit, I think, 5 or 6 home runs, 2 of them being game winning homers.
