Choo is Up
Mariners' Korean outfield prospect Shin-Soo Choo got called up to the majors. He replaces Scott Spiezio who went on the 15 days Disabled List.

Choo is currently batting .272 with 4 HR and 19 RBI and 11 steals with AAA Tacoma. [Minor League Stats]

Choo was selected to the play on the World Team for the Futures Game (July 10th). Choo has batted .285 with 4 HR and 20 RBI. He has also stolen 15 bases this year. [Futures Game Roster - PDF from MLB.com] [Minor League Stats]
