Block sign is just a system for calling signs during the game. The signs are very easy to figure out (as far as a players standpoint is concerned), for pitching, there is a pitchout and an intentional walk funtion, and at the plate, there is a straight steal, a hit and run, run and hit, suicide squeeze, and run on contact.
