Pro Yakyu Spirits CONFIRMED for PS3
Want to play yakyu games on the next generation? Well, you better start saving up money, because Konami have made their intentions crystal clear. They just announced that the next Pro Yakyu Spirits will come out in 2007 for the 600 dollar(!!!) PS3. We can assume the release date will be around late March or early April to coincide with NPB's opening day.

In addition to the announcement last year that Pawapuro would be on PS3, I have a feeling Pawapuro Production won't be working with Wii. It could either be a contractual issue or a creative issue in that the Konami guys want to take a big leap forwards and not just release the same PS2 games with Wiimote functions. Let's remember that Konami released the interactive bat a few years back.

Let us also not forget what Konami tried to pull last year. They announced the next Pro Yakyu Spirits to be on Xbox 360 and nothing else. I contacted them and asked if it was going to release on PS2, and the rep told me, "We have no plans as of right now to release on anything but Xbox 360." Of course PYS3 also released on PS2 and Konami announced that a few months after the 360 announcement. This could all just be a marketing ploy to get more people to buy PS3 at launch.

I don't care what ploy they're doing, I refuse to pay that much for a PS3 and a game. If anything, I would by a 360 and get PYS for that or get PYS3.

Unless PYS for PS3 REALLY do something drastic that have never been done in baseball games, I'll save my money on something more useful.
