***IMPORTANT note on PS3 online play***
For anyone thinking of buying Pro Yakyu Spirits 4 for the PS3, you need to know this. There have been issues with PS3 games only connecting to Japanese servers on Japanese PS3s. This is the reason why I went ahead and imported a Japanese 60gb unit. I don't want to take any chances.

However, there are games that have global networks like Ridge Racer 7, but that game was released globally. I don't know if Pro Yakyu Spirits 4 will connect to Japanese servers from an American PS3. It's very doubtful. If anyone wants to check when release time comes, it'd be greatly appreciated.

If PYS4 doesn't connect to Japanese servers, you'll either be completely locked out of online play or only be able to play against other people in your region with the game. People have stated that Resistance Fall Of Man only connects to American servers with an American PS3 and Japanese servers with a Japanese PS3. Since PYS4 won't have an American server, since it is Japan only, there is a very slight chance that it will have online play completely disabled.

Please keep this in mind when you think about purchasing this. I know. I hate it, too. There's no point to making a console region free when you put boundaries on servers.

Someone has basically confirmed to me that if you want to use a specific country's servers, you HAVE to have a system from that country. However, it seems like you can play against anyone from anywhere if you have their screen name. I'll keep updating on this until I get 100% confirmation, though.
