This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Now, I was getting ROCKED even on Hard level CPU batting. I had great pitch timing, I varied pitches, went inside/outside/high/low, but I was still giving up like 17 hits in a game. Now after getting my first win over the CPU, I'm convinced that in order to fool the CPU batting, you have to pitch to all parts of the strike zone. You can't just pitch at the corners.
So any of you who get the game and keep getting hit hard, remember that. Pitch to the corners, middle in/out, middle high/low. Don't throw all strikes, either. Vary your pitch counts. The AI has definitely been overhauled, so you can't slack off when pitching.
Other things about the game...
-Is a lot smoother than PYS3.
-Basically anyone who isn't a new gaijin batter has a brand new batting form. I'm shocked at how many there are. Pitching forms are basically 95% brand new, as well.
-Arrange Mode is great, because it basically gives you the chance to update the default teams to whatever you want. There is no loading Arrange Teams or anything. You edit it, and that is the team all throughout the game. Unfortunately, there's no accessory edit.
-Konami made this game so difficult on the higher levels, you know they did it for all the hardcore yakyu game fans. In an interview with the director, Toyohara, he said that making the game enjoyable for the most skilled players and the worst players was his #1 goal. I think he accomplished what he wanted.
-New camera angles and texture kind of freaks you out at first, but you get used to it.
Any questions at all? I'll get to translating once my PS3 version gets here. My PS3 is hooked up to my dual monitor setup, and I'd rather type in a comfortable setup than go back and forth between the den and living room.
