This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Starting on January 29th and ending on February 26th, Sega will be running another free trial for YakyuTsuku Online. It's recommended that any Japanese reading/writing yakyu fan take advantage of this offer. I played this for a couple months and had a lot of fun, though there's really no incentive to keep winning. It would be nice if there were prizes or something.
Since the time I quit, Sega has updated the game interface, added special management abilities, put in OBs like Randy Bass, and updated player attributes to reflect the 2007 season. I'm definitely going to hit it back up and see what improvements they've made, though I doubt I'll exceed the free trial.
