June 2005 Contest

The Yakyu Shop is sponsoring a variety of contests during the 2005 season to make the 2005 Pro Yakyu Pennant Race a a little more exciting for us all. This month's contest is to guess the All-Star MVPs.

The Contest: This month's contest is to guess who the MVPs of the two All-Star games will be at the end of the month. The All-Star Series will be held on June 22nd at Invoice Seibu Dome, and July 23rd at Koshien Stadium. You may follow the voting on the official Sanyo All-Star Games site in English.

You may make up to three guesses for MVPs of the two games. It doesn't matter which game. Once a player has been selected, nobody else may choose that player. Furthermore, a player not making the team will not be grounds to have another guess, so please choose carefully. The polls will be open until 12:00 AM the morning of June 22 JST.

For any given day, nominated players for a different position will be presented for voting. You can get a complete list of possible players at the official voting site by clicking on "NOMINATED PLAYERS" and going through the lists of positions. Do this to get an idea of who you want to vote for when his position is up for selection.

If you wish to choose a player who has not been nominated on the official ballot, please post so on the June Contest Thread while signed in (anonymous choices will not be considered). First come, first serve. Furthermore, if the player you choose is on the official ballot, such a write in ballot will be voided. Finally, a grand total of three (3) selections is allowed, including write in votes. Any selections made after reaching three will be removed.

Participation: One must be signed in to participate. While it is technically possible to create more than one account and make more guesses, anyone caught doing so will be disqualified. I'm sure this won't be a problem with this group of fans. Cut off for entries will be 12:00 AM on June 22 JST.

The Prizes: The person(s) with the winning guess will recieve either the cap of a team of his/her choice (based on availability) or a US$30.00 voucher to a different purchase from the Yakyu Shop. Two prizes will be awarded, one for each game.

In the event that nobody guesses the MVP correctly for one or both games, the prizes will carry over to next month's contest. That is to say, if there is only one winner this month, three prizes will be given away next month, four if nobody wins this month.

Privacy: Identifying information of the winners only will be passed on to the Yakyu Shop for the purpose of awarding the prizes. This will include the registered e-mail addresses of the winning participants only. No personal information will be passed on to the Yakyu Shop or any other party from any other participants.
